Transitions

Life is full of them. Especially for my 4 month old. Lately he hasn't been sleeping as much as he used to and he has been getting better control of his hands.

The biggest lesson I have learned from being a parent is just when you think you have it figured out - it will change.

random thoughts

Today I was reminded that I wish I lived closer to my mom.
We chatted on the phone for about a 1/2 hour and had a great discussion. I wish we could do it face to face over coffee or wine instead. {Love you Mom!!!}

All the living beings in my home are sleeping except for me. MD and B are sleeping in our bed, D is in his swing, Sophie in the chair and finally Oliver in B's bed. I need to break out the Dew so I can stay awake. Instead I am updating the Altar Guild notes and then will move on to my business credit card reconciliation. FUN!!

Speaking of Altar Guild, B went with me this morning. She is so cute about helping out right now. I wish I could bottle it up and save it for the teenager years when she can help me with more things.

Home with the kids

I am home with the kids today. It amazes me that stay-at-home mom's get ANYTHING done.
I can start the clothes washer, put clothes in a dryer, and make lunch and that is about all I have accomplished today!!!

Thank goodness it is Friday!
We don't have any big plans for the weekend which is nice as well. I wish the weather was going to be better.

on the birth of their new baby boy, Elijah.

He was born on 4/20 - 7 lbs, 14 ozs and 20 inches long.

I have seen pictures but no eyeballs yet.

One of those movies

Have you ever watched 'Eat Drink Man Woman'? It is such a great movie. The first scene you just sit and watch a meal being cooked. It makes cooking look like something I would want to do. (MD probably thinks I should watch it every day and then follow through.)

If you haven't seen it - go to Netflix, sign up, and put that movie in your que. LOVE Netflix.

Pickin' Creepin' Charlie

This afternoon we were all out pickin' creepin' charlie and raking leaves off of the flower beds. D sits up so nicely in the stroller and B is so excited to be allowed to use the rake. :)
